My personal transformation started in a hairdresser’s chair. The change was emotional, profound, and changed the direction of my life.
As far back as I can remember I have known something was different about me, something was “wrong.” I was bullied mercilessly. I felt ugly, stupid, like a worthless sissy, and worst of all I felt alone. And then I sat in that hairdresser’s chair and my life was transformed.
I had been beat down for so many years that when I saw this amazing transformation in the mirror, even though in the beginning it felt like I was wearing a disguise, people treated me differently and I began to believe in my value as a human being.
I became that hairdresser: the one that changes lives. I have made it my life’s work to bring people out of their darkness with love, compassion, and understanding. Part of my gift is that because I have experienced this type of pain, I can feel it in others. I know that dark, small tunnel that some are in. I am here to help lead you out.
