Ingrid Peterson has been playing with flowers since she was 10 years old and has been the owner of both Grass Valley Florist and Cruz Thru Coffee since 1996. Grass Valley Florist has been serving the local community since 1939 and voted Best Florist by the Union readers every year for more than a decade. It is a unique floral and gift shop with a cozy atmosphere, coffee, wi-fi, affordable gifts, and works by local artists.
Ingrid and 2 horsesIngrid has spent the last few years re-creating the store’s image by introducing antiques, handmade cowhide purses, vintage and western theme items and a unique variety of plants and women’s accessories.
Her love of animals, especially horses and dogs, is widely known. Her dog, Sugar, is the official greeter at Grass Valley Florist and Ingrid spends as much of her free time as possible working with horses. Be sure to say, ‘Hi’ to Sugar when you come in.
