At age 28, I made the decision to become a therapist, hoping to help others work through their suffering and find health and happiness. My work today is deeply influenced by my personal healing journey and a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including stoic philosophy, solution-focused therapy, gestalt therapy, emotionally focused therapy, spirituality, dance, and bodywork. I strongly believe that physical health is foundational to emotional and mental health, and I talk with all my clients about sleep, nutrition, hydration, and movement.
I’m not the kind of therapist who just sits quietly, nodding and asking, “How does that make you feel?” I’ve had therapists like that, and I never trusted them. I give honest feedback, share what I’m hearing, and work with clients to co-create a plan to address the challenges they’re facing. Because of this style, I often feel more like a life coach than a traditional psychotherapist
