I am an experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who has provided counseling and therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents and their families since 2005. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and School Counseling from San Francisco State University.
Working at the intersection of mental health therapy and school counseling, I have many years experience as an LMFT providing counseling to children, adolescents and their families. I draw upon a broad range of experience from individual/family/group therapy, crisis intervention, social/emotional education, as well as prevention and early intervention. I have had the pleasure of working as a therapist for community mental health clinics and managing programs for children and adolescents. I have also worked within public, charter, and private school settings as a mental health specialist and a school counselor, in addition to providing mental health consultation to 0-5 programs.
I am a strength-based therapist dedicated to helping families lay a healthy foundation from which their children can grow. My approach is person centered. I work with families who find themselves confronted with transition, grief and loss, school challenges, anxiety and depression.
It is my professional goal to effect genuine and positive change in the lives of children, adolescents and their families. I am deeply passionate about working with youth and providing them with a safe-space in which to confront, to learn and to grow from their specific challenges. I strive to meet every child where they are at, with deep empathy, unconditional positive regard and authenticity.
