Throughout our lives we are faced with challenges, whether it be relational or circumstantial. Often times we respond to these challenges in similar patterns of interactions and behaviors. You may notice that such patterns are no longer benefiting you as they have in the past, but instead, causing uncomfortable feelings, thus negative ways of coping. These feelings could include sadness, anxiety, anger, resentment, and guilt. Additional byproducts may be relationship dissatisfaction, codependency, and self medicating with food, alcohol, or other substances. I would like the opportunity to work with you to discover more positive and effective ways of managing the feelings triggered by past traumas, as well as, everyday life stressors. My hope is that we can identify patterns of thinking and behaving that maintain these negative symptoms and slowly adopt more helpful ways of managing life stressors. With understanding and encouragement, together we can work towards a life of fulfillment and happiness.
